Your Plan for Life.

Blaise Szekely

Born in Budapest, Hungary, Blaise became a resident of Alberta at the age of five, having arrived here via Vienna, Munich, Halifax, and finally Edmonton in 1948. His schooling started in the Frontenac country school three miles from Morinville and culminated at the University of Alberta where Blaise received his B. Comm. degree in 1968. Since then Blaise has been involved in a number of Alberta companies, often in a partnership role. These include furniture manufacturing, mortgage investments, apartment development, telecommunications, computing, and for the past ten years financial planning and insurance.
Blaise and his wife Linda have raised two girls both of whom are currently finishing their Masters degrees. Busy with family life, his involvement in service organizations started late in his career. He became a Charter Member of the Rotary Club of Edmonton, Sunrise where he spent three years as treasurer and then a year as president. He has been very active with his church organization, fraternity alumni, and Toastmasters through his 40 year business career. Blaise’s passions are a curiosity in anything yet undiscovered, taking financial advisor courses leading to the CFP designation, and taking care of clients to ensure they have the proper tax and retirement planning. Beyond that, Blaise will be found at his lake cottage – repairing, creating, puttering, relaxing, and reading.
